We are really excited to be finally launching this blog! The Entertainment Lawyer is a community forum for the entertainment industries. It is a gathering place to learn, comment on, and participate in discussions about the business side of entertainment – music, film, art, dance, design, production, and many others. We will especially focus on and navigate the community through the legal considerations of doing business in the entertainment industry. This will include discussions about intellectual property law (trademarks and copyrights), general business start-up, and dealmaking (contract drafting and negotiaion).
We hope that, through our experiences, we can offer you some insight into the entertainment industries. And, we also look forward to your participation. From time to time, we will invite guest bloggers to post their thoughts too. So stay tuned!
